Leonor began her dental industry journey in 2004, entering the profession as a dental assistant in Auckland, NZ. It was in this role that she found a passion for helping others, realised the role hygiene services played in the dental industry, and, most importantly, contributed to her patients’ improved dental health outcomes.
Her passion for dentistry led her to study at AUT (Auckland University of Technology) for a Bachelor of Oral Health. She worked in private practice in New Zealand until early 2022, when she decided to relocate to Brisbane and enjoy the amazing Queensland weather and lifestyle.
Leonor is especially interested in assessing and treating mild to moderate periodontal conditions and helping her patients improve their oral health.
Leonor recognises that patient education is pivotal in influencing positive behavioural changes, creating sustainable, improved home care habits, and preventing periodontal or dental problems before they start.
Leonor proactively keeps herself up to date by attending seminars, conferences, online webinars, and consistently seeking out further learning opportunities to expand her knowledge, particularly in dental hygiene.
Outside of her professional life, she finds joy in practicing meditation, yoga, reading on various science and spiritual subjects, exercising, and engaging in social activities.
