Super Max & Bryce

Super Max & Bryce

We are donating $1 for every patient we treat in August to Super Max & Bryce!

During the whole month of August, we are donating $1 for every patient we treat within all our Coastal Dental Care practices to the non-for-profit charity organization, Super Max & Bryce. We are hoping to raise $10,000 for this amazing organization supporting young children in treatment for cancer. Their mission is to gift every child with cancer a specially-designed Super Max the Turtle Night Light to help give them comfort and connectedness throughout their treatment journey.

As a local family dentist, we know how important family is and we cherish the long-lasting relationships we build with our patients. Because of this, we are always looking for ways to support local communities and help those in need. We couldn’t be more excited to support the Super Max & Bryce charity – a local charity helping children in treatment for cancer across Australia and New Zealand.

Their goal is to create superhero smiles by sharing love, hope, happiness and comfort with superheroes and their families. Now that’s a goal we are proud to support (making smiles is something we love to do).

About Super Max & Bryce

The Super Max & Bryce Charity was established in 2016 by a young boy named Bryce, who was nine years old at the time. In 2011, Bryce’s mother was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and required vigorous treatments and surgeries. During this same period, their close family friend Max, who was just 4 years old, was also diagnosed with cancer. Watching his mother and little Max go through the harsh cancer treatments, Bryce could not imagine how scary it would be for other cancer patients, especially children going through the same ordeal.

In his own way, Bryce wanted to bring comfort to these very sick children, and so began his journey to raise funds to purchase a turtle shaped night light that he lovingly called ‘Super Max’. The courageous four year old Max is Bryce’s inspiration behind the night lights. This is why the superhero turtle has become the charity’s mascot. Bryce began by raising money through his school and with his friends, by selling cupcakes.

With the support of his school, his family and other organizations, he managed to buy 244 night lights that year. Since then, the charity has provided thousands of sick children with a night light to comfort them during their treatments. Furthermore, the night lights help to connect them with each other as they all sleep under the same stars at night so they never feel alone.

How can you help?

It is now in our hands to support Bryce and his goal to raise enough funds to buy 1,000 turtle night lights this year. Hopefully, we can provide one for every child battling cancer in Australia and New Zealand.

If you’d like to donate, there will be donation boxes at each of our Coastal Dental Care practices. We currently have 11 practices which are located across the Gold Coast, Northern New South Wales and in Redland Bay. Here, you can donate any lose change you may have. If you do not have cash with you, there will be a QR code on the donation box so that you can make a tax deductible donation online.

Furthermore, you can also participate in raffles which will be running within our Kingscliff, Robina Town and Redland Bay practices.
