I’m Dr Sophia Absalom, a dedicated general dentist with a passion for providing top-quality dental care. My journey in dentistry began at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, where I graduated with continual academic excellence. But my path to dentistry started long before that as a child growing up, I always dreamed of becoming a dentist. 

After graduating, I moved to Melbourne to kickstart my career in a prominent practice. There, I participated in a rigorous graduate program that honed my skills. Working in a dynamic environment alongside a team of specialists, this broadened my horizons and fueled my commitment to delivering exceptional care.

Empathy is at the heart of my practice. My early years as a dental nurse have provided me with invaluable insights into patient concerns and fears, making me a compassionate clinician. I have an interest in treating anxious patients and strive to change perceptions of dental visits, making them enjoyable experiences.

I’m also a firm believer in attention to detail. My dedication to precision ensures that I provide my patients with the highest quality of care and the best possible outcomes for their oral health.

Born and raised in Brisbane, I’ve recently made the exciting decision to return to the Gold Coast. It’s here that I find a strong sense of community and the perfect environment to raise my children.

Outside of the dental chair, I cherish moments spent with my children at the beach. With an Italian background, I have a passion for baking and cooking.
