Dr Millie Milewska is a valued member of the Coastal Dental Care team, providing general dental care with a focus on patient comfort, clear communication and building long-term relationships. She understands that visiting the dentist can sometimes feel daunting and takes the time to help patients feel comfortable, informed and involved in decisions about their oral health.
Millie believes that good dentistry starts with understanding each patient’s individual needs. She aims to explain dental conditions and treatment options clearly and accessibly, helping patients make informed decisions about their dental care. For new patients, appointments may include a comprehensive dental examination, X-rays and intraoral photographs to help explain their current oral health.
Millie’s interest in dentistry began at an early age. After finishing high school, she studied Science at the University of Sydney, where she achieved first-class honours in organic chemistry in 2007. During her studies, she also worked as a dental nurse, gaining valuable experience and further strengthening her commitment to a career in dentistry.
Determined to pursue her passion, Millie moved to the Gold Coast in 2009 after Griffith University accepted her into the dentistry program. She graduated in 2013 and began her career as a dentist with Coastal Dental Care, having previously worked with the group as a part-time relief dental nurse during her studies.
Millie enjoys the variety that comes with general dentistry, from regular dental examinations and preventive care to more complex prosthetic work. She particularly values the opportunity to establish lasting relationships with patients and support their oral health over time. Watching young patients grow up and continue their regular dental visits is one of the rewarding aspects of her work.
Communication is central to Millie’s approach to dentistry. She believes patients should understand their oral health, the reasons for recommended treatment and the options available to them. By taking the time to answer questions and explain each step, she aims to create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their dental needs.
Millie also enjoys continuing her professional education, particularly in orthodontics, as she develops her knowledge and skills in dentistry.
Originally from overseas, Millie moved to Sydney at nine years old and continues to speak Polish fluently. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, including regular trips to Poland to visit her grandparents.
Outside dentistry, Millie is passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle. Her favourite activities include long-distance running, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and Muay Thai.
