Annalise Ray (Anna) is a dedicated and highly skilled Oral Health Therapist with an extended scope of practice, having completed her studies at the University of Newcastle in 2025. Originally from Port Macquarie, Annalise has recently relocated to Queensland, where she is excited to continue building her career and providing exceptional, patient-centred dental care to her local community. Her passion for oral health and commitment to personalised care make her a trusted professional for patients of all ages.
Before and throughout her studies, Annalise gained over four years of hands-on experience working as a dental assistant. This practical experience allowed her to develop strong clinical skills and a thorough understanding of patient care, which she now brings to her role as an Oral Health Therapist at Coastal Dental Care Mudgeeraba. Annalise’s dedication to excellence was recognised when she was placed on the College of Health, Medicine, and Wellbeing Commendation List on two separate occasions, highlighting her academic achievements and commitment to advancing her profession.
Annalise has worked across rural, regional, and metropolitan communities, gaining invaluable experience in treating patients from diverse backgrounds and with varied oral health needs. She is experienced in paediatric dentistry, general adult care, and aged care services, allowing her to tailor treatments to patients of all ages. From routine scale and cleans, preventative treatments, and simple restorations to comprehensive dental care for children, Annalise is equipped to provide a full spectrum of oral health services.
Known for her calm and gentle manner, Annalise is particularly skilled at helping children feel comfortable and relaxed during dental visits. She also has extensive experience supporting patients with dental anxiety, using clear communication and a patient-focused approach to create positive and stress-free dental experiences. Her approachable and compassionate nature fosters long-term trust with patients and their families.
Beyond the clinic, Annalise works as a support worker for individuals with high care needs, further strengthening her ability to provide compassionate, adaptable care for patients with complex medical or behavioural requirements. When she’s not providing dental care, Annalise enjoys exploring the outdoors, walking along the beach with her dog, swimming, snorkelling, and travelling. She also cherishes quiet moments at home with her two cats, reflecting her love for both adventure and relaxation.
