Dr Ben Perera’s modus operandi (way of working) is to provide pain-free dentistry for his patients. Dr Ben is a general dentist who brings an extensive skill set and fresh outlook to the Mermaid Beach Coastal Dental Care team.

Dr Ben’s approach to patient care goes beyond just providing treatment. He is a warm-hearted dentist with exceptional communication skills, ensuring that his patients are well-informed and comfortable. Under his care, patients never leave confused about their treatment or how to maintain their oral health.

Finishing his Bachelor of Dental Science at the University of Queensland, Dr Ben graduated in early 2022 with First Class Honours. He was awarded the J. Owen Pearn Memorial Prize in 2021 for excellence in dental research. Dr Ben takes pride in staying up-to-date and practising the most modern dental techniques. His ongoing study and training allows him to provide the best care for his patients.

Some of Dr Ben’s areas of interest include restorative dentistry, endodontics, airways and sleep dentistry, paediatrics, emergency dentistry, diagnosis and rehabilitation.

Dr Ben remains a true Gold Coaster, committed to weekend patrols at his local surf lifesaving club. In his spare time, he plays the drums and enjoys the Aussie music scene.
