Dr Lachlan Barlow grew up on the Gold Coast and graduated from Griffith University with Academic Excellence in his Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry.

Since graduating, Lachlan has gained broad experience working across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales and now enjoys caring for patients as a dentist at Coastal Dental Care Cabarita Beach.

Lachlan enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, with particular interests in dental implants and cosmetic dentistry. He has undertaken further training in implant dentistry, restorative dentistry and Invisalign treatment, and continues to regularly update his skills through ongoing professional education.

His approach to dentistry is relaxed, thorough and practical. Lachlan takes the time to explain treatment options clearly so his patients understand what is happening and can make informed decisions about their dental care. He aims to make appointments as comfortable and straightforward as possible and particularly enjoys helping patients improve both the health and appearance of their smiles.

Lachlan’s interest in dentistry began through his own experience having orthodontic treatment when he was younger. Seeing firsthand the difference that improving someone’s teeth and smile could make to their confidence ultimately led him towards a career in dentistry.

Earlier in his career, Lachlan also volunteered as a dentist in rural villages in Nepal.

Outside of dentistry, Lachlan enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family. He and his wife live locally in the Tweed and Northern Rivers region with their young daughter.
