Dr Zi Lee is a friendly and caring dentist who enjoys helping patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their dental visits. She graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide and has worked in dental practices across both the north and south sides of Brisbane.

Originally from Malaysia, Zi grew up in a multicultural environment where speaking multiple languages and sharing good food were part of everyday life. She knew she wanted to work in healthcare, but dentistry wasn’t necessarily the career she had imagined as a child. It was only after starting work that she discovered how much she enjoyed the profession and the opportunity to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

One experience that has stayed with Zi was volunteering at a Tzu Chi dental outreach event in Tara. She saw how a portable X-ray machine could help provide dental care to people in the local community, highlighting the importance of making dental services accessible to those who need them.

Another memorable moment was treating a patient with composite veneers. Seeing how happy the patient was with their new smile on the same day was particularly rewarding for Zi. Experiences like these remind her why she enjoys dentistry and the personal connections she can build with her patients.

Zi understands that everyone has different dental needs and experiences, and she aims to make each visit as comfortable and positive as possible. Whether you’re visiting for a routine dental check-up or discussing options to enhance your smile, she wants you to feel listened to, informed and at ease throughout your appointment.

Outside the dental practice, Zi loves travelling, discovering new places and trying new hobbies. She’s already given pickleball, tennis, cooking, crocheting and fishing a go. While she’s still deciding which hobbies will stick, improving her fishing skills is definitely on the list. She just needs to spend a little more time practising!

With her approachable nature and genuine enjoyment of helping others, Dr Zi Lee looks forward to welcoming patients and helping them look after their oral health.
