Val Safarova

Val Safarova is a dedicated Oral Health Therapist who is also pursuing her Bachelor of Dental Health Science degree to become a general dentist. She loves investing her energy into learning the science of dentistry in order to bring more smiles and happiness to this world.

Val was born in Russia and has an Armenian background. At the age of 19, her family moved to New Zealand. There, Val completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Auckland in 2012. She then worked in both general and specialist dental practices before returning to university in 2014. Val then graduated with a Bachelor of Oral Health from the Auckland University of Technology in 2016. She moved to Australia shortly thereafter and has worked with orthodontists and periodontists in Melbourne before relocating to the Gold Coast.

Val Safarova fell in love with science when she was a child. As one of her family members was a dentist, she had the chance to observe and learn how art and science combined to make a patient feel better. This impressed Val so much that she decided to pursue a career in dentistry.

Having an international background, Val is fluent in English and Russian and also speaks a bit of Turkish and Armenian. In her free time, she loves to stay fit, read, explore new food places and socialise with friends. One of her hobbies is to dance; Val likes to salsa and bachata dance. She thinks it’s a great way to meet people from all different backgrounds.
