Holly Lockhart is both a dental hygienist and a dental therapist. Her specialties include cleaning teeth and providing personalised cleaning regimes which are best suited to your individual needs. Holly is qualified in taking digital X-rays, charting and record keeping, bleaching and changing orthodontic bands. As well, providing restorative treatment and dental examinations for children up to the age of 18 years old.
Holly was born and grew up on the Gold Coast, working as a dental assistant throughout high school. She then moved to Northern Rivers, where she continued working and studying in Lismore. After completing a Bachelor of Environmental Science (majoring in Fisheries & Aquaculture Management), Holly took an opportunity to research the Californian Abalone Fishery. She spent 3 years travelling the USA & surfing the California coast, before returning to Australia to study Oral Health Therapy. Holly graduated from Griffith University on Gold Coast in 2008, and her first year after graduation was spent providing oral health care to the Aboriginal children in Casino.
Prior to joining our team at Coastal Dental Care Kingscliff in June of 2016, Holly worked in a busy Brisbane practice for almost eight years. It was here Holly gained experience in treating gum disease.
Growing up, her family holidays were spent camping and fishing on South Stradbroke Island, chasing rabbits at Stanthorpe or branding cattle and catching blue claw out Warwick way. Holly is ecstatic to finally call Kingscliff home as she feels it has a perfect blend of country and beach. Her weekends are spent at the beach with family, and she also enjoys cooking and motorcycle riding.
Whether you need a thorough clean or a check-up for your children, Holly has a down to earth, gentle and genuine approach to all aspects of dentistry.
