Dr John Hendry has moved to Kingscliff Dental Care!

Dr John Hendry is a well-known dentist who has recently joined the team at Kingscliff Dental Care, just a short drive from Tweed Heads.

Seeking a sea change, Dr Hendry has moved from his previous Gold Coast dental practice and joined our ranks a little to the south. He will be taking appointments with both new and previous patients immediately.

Dr Hendry believes the key to all successful dental care is a strong preventive foundation and dental education from a young age.

“Dental hygienists play a very important role in a modern dental team, especially because almost all dental conditions, except those which are genetically inherited, are preventable,” Dr Hendry says.

“The earlier we treat patients and develop regular dental behaviours, the more we can reduce dental conditions, improve the health of our community and consequently lower costs to the health system.”

As a father, Dr Hendry understands the battle parents face trying to ensure their children set good oral health habits.

“I can relate to the difficulty parents face in developing good dental habits at home as I have seen my own children go through them,” he says.

Dr Hendry enjoys helping people rehabilitate their teeth to the best possible function. To do so, he regularly pursues dental education to make sure his patients can be offered up to date choices and modern treatment options encompassing all their needs.

“Keeping abreast of increasingly rapid technological advancements and new materials is what keeps dentists exciting,” he says.

His empathetic nature and caring manner is valued by his patients and is one of his best qualities.

Dr Hendry is married with three children and is an avid follower of almost all Australian sports. In his own words, “Go the Reds, go the Titans and go the Suns!

In his downtime, Dr Hendry enjoys spending quality time with his family and reading and relaxing at home. He is an upstanding member of the community and is a regular blood donor who strongly believes everyone should get involved in this cause.
